Ich bin Simon Kfoury und lebe im Schwarzwald. Ich möchte junge Menschen dort erreichen, wo sie heute ihre Zeit verbringen. Deshalb habe ich ein christlich geführtes Studio gegründet, das Videospiele entwickelt.I'm Simon Kfoury. I live in the Black Forest in Germany. I want to reach young people where they spend their time today. That is why I started a Christian-led studio that makes video games.
Lange habe ich versucht, die Welt von oben zu verändern, über die Politik. Aber die Politik ist nicht oben. Gott ist oben, und deshalb gehört Er in die Mitte. Das heißt nicht, dass mich Politik nicht mehr interessiert. Es heißt, bei dem zu bleiben, was ich liebe. Und ich liebe Videospiele.For a long time I tried to change the world top-down, through politics. But politics is not the top. God is, and that is why He belongs in the center. That doesn't mean I'm no longer interested in politics. It means sticking to what I love. And I love video games.
Als Kind habe ich viel gespielt. Spiele haben mir Freude gemacht, manchmal aber auch Frust. Schon früh habe ich mich gefragt, warum man sie nicht sinnvoller nutzt. Es gab Guitar Hero und SingStar, aber kein Spiel, in dem man mit dem eigenen Instrument spielt oder richtig singen lernt, und das dann am Lagerfeuer oder in der Kirche nutzen kann. Diesen Traum hatte ich lange und hielt ihn für viel zu groß für mich. Mit KI kann ich endlich die ersten Schritte gehen, auch ohne große Investoren oder ein großes Team. Fisher of Men ist der erste kleine Stein.I played a lot as a kid. Games brought me joy, but sometimes frustration too. Early on I wondered why they weren't used in a more constructive way. There was Guitar Hero and SingStar, but no game where you play your own instrument or learn to sing properly, and then use it at a bonfire or in church. I carried that dream for years and thought it was far too big for me. With AI I can finally take the first steps, even without big investors or a big team. Fisher of Men is the first little stone.
Der Name kommt von dem Stein, mit dem David den Riesen besiegt hat. Ich will nicht die Spielebranche zu Fall bringen. Ich will meinen kleinen Stein in den Ring werfen.The name comes from the stone David used to bring down the giant. I don't want to take down the gaming industry. I want to throw my pebble into the ring.

Spiele, Medien und neue Technik haben großes Potenzial, haben leider aber auch oft negative Auswirkungen auf unsere Gesellschaft. Ich glaube, dass Christen hier etwas verändern können, wenn sie diese Werkzeuge selbst in die Hand nehmen, statt sie zu meiden.Games, media and new technology have great potential, but sadly they often have negative effects on our society too. I believe Christians can change something here if they take these tools into their own hands instead of avoiding them.
Ich verstehe, dass es verschiedene Meinungen zu modernen christlichen Medienprojekten gibt, doch viele Menschen berichten, dass Serien wie „The Chosen“ sie zum Glauben geführt haben. Sowohl Menschen, die nie etwas damit zu tun hatten, wie auch Menschen, die sich über die Jahre vom Glauben entfernt haben.I understand that people hold different opinions about modern Christian media projects, but many people say that series like "The Chosen" led them to faith. Both people who never had anything to do with it and people who had drifted away from faith over the years.
Lange Zeit habe ich keine Musik mehr gehört, weil mir säkulare Songs nicht zugesagt haben. Das war, bis ich entdeckt habe, dass es auch Worship in Form moderner Musik gibt.For a long time I stopped listening to music because secular songs didn't appeal to me. That changed when I discovered that worship also comes in the form of modern music.
Meine Vision ist es, verschiedene Bereiche unserer modernen Welt mit der Hilfe des Herrn und somit auch mehr Herzen der Menschen für Ihn zu erobern. Das Wort Gottes bietet so viel Potenzial für Storytelling und ich möchte meine gottgegebene Kreativität einsetzen, um die großartigste Geschichte, die je geschrieben wurde, unter noch mehr Menschen zu bringen.My vision is to win different areas of our modern world, and with them more people's hearts, for the Lord with His help. The Word of God offers so much potential for storytelling, and I want to use my God-given creativity to bring the greatest story ever written to even more people.
KI gehört zu den Werkzeugen, die ich gerne dafür nutzen würde. Wie vieles, birgt sie Risiken, aber auch große Chancen, wenn man sie für das Richtige einsetzt. Weil ich diese Werkzeuge selbst zu Gottes Ehre nutze, sei es für Spiele, Musik oder andere Medien, helfe ich Gemeinden und christlichen Werken, dies ebenfalls zu tun.AI is one of the tools I would like to use for this. Like many things, it carries risks, but also great opportunities when it is used for the right things. Because I use these tools myself to God's glory, whether for games, music or other media, I help churches and Christian organisations do the same.
